Kalanchoe: The Kalanchoe is a succulent-based tropical plant known for its thick, glossy leaves and clusters of long-lasting, brightly colored flowers. It’s typically used for a tabletop accent but also provides a cheerful pop of color in mixed arrangements. Also, a low-maintenance plant that could be used for windowsills and desks. Most Kalanchoe’s grow well in bright indirect light and prefer to be slightly dry between waterings, making them ideal for busy or beginner plant owners.
The Kalanchoe species originates from Madagascar which explains their thick, water-storing leaves and their impressive drought tolerance.
Blossfeldiana is a classic flowering variety with red, pink, yellow, or orange blooms and Calandiva has rose-like blooms and is double-flowered.
