Dracaena Reflexa: Commonly known as the “Song of India” (or Jamaica), this plant is a branching, shrub-like tropical plant known for it’s whorled leaves. It’s often used for a decorative accent in living rooms, sunrooms, and bright offices where it’s layered foliage brings texture and movement to a space. It typically grows best in medium to bright indirect light. Like many other tropical plants it like moderate humidity but will tolerate indoor ranges as long as it’s kept away from cold drafts.
Although it’s widely grown as a houseplant, Dracaena Reflexa is native to Madagascar where it grows as a small tree with naturally twisting, architectural form—the traits that make it strikingly unique indoors.
Song of India has green leaves with bright yellow margins, the Song of Jamaica has green leaves with pale-green striping, Reflexa has solid green leaves, and Variegated Reflexa is mixed cream, green, and yellow tones for the leaves.
